Art Imitates Art Imitating Life… Tiffany Style
Created this ‘nod’ to Tiffany this morning. A ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art) inspired by a postcard that caught my eye in the studio this morning. (Thanks Alex for changing the pictures yesterday! – I display a revolving range of postcards that I purchased at The MET while in New York and they’re a wonderful source of inspiration and images to admire in awe.)
I used brown and black micron pens on top of a piece of a watercolour sheet that I’d painted earlier in the year. Then added a little colour with watercolour crayons and a little water. The blue is so much more vibrant than I could manage to reproduce with the scanner but you’ll get the idea.
Zentangle patterns used: shattuck stem, tripoli seed head, and marasu dragonfly body.
A nice morning playing with art supplies in the Spring sunshine!
